Advent is the perfect season of the year to pray and reflect over the Lord becoming man and entering into the world. On this episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, Steve Karlen and Robert Colquhoun example how the Scripture accounts of the Holy Family preparing for the birth of Jesus provide great Advent meditations for pro-lifers:

  • Mary was troubled by news of her pregnancy...and she provides a model example for other frightened expectant mothers.
  • Likewise, Joseph's willingness to stand alongside Mary through her pregnancy and to help raise the Christ child is a powerful example to the fathers of abortion-vulnerable babies.
  • John the Baptist's in utero leap for joy recognizing the unborn Messiah is one of the most beautiful Biblical illustrations of the humanity and personhood of life in the womb.
  • Mary's visit to her pregnant cousin is a Scriptural encouragement for us to accompany struggling pregnant moms.
  • In the eyes of the world, our poor, homeless Lord was the perfect candidate for abortion.

We also discuss three concrete ways pro-lifers can make Advent a time of deeper prayer and reflection--rather than a stressful season of harried consumerism:

  1. Turn down the noise of the world and commit to increasing the silence in your life.
  2. Commit to hoping in the Lord.
  3. Keep your eye on the prize and truly prepare for Christmas.

We'll provide concrete tips for a more profound prayer life amidst the commercial glitz and glamour that tends to overshadow joyful anticipation of the Lord.

What do you think about when you hear the word genocide? Since the origin of sin, the human race has sought to dehumanize a segment of its population. From the Aztecs to the Holocaust the value of human life has been edited to fit a definition of convenience rather than a universally true one. And while all genocide is an unfathomable tragedy there is no genocide that has claimed more lives than abortion. Join Shawn, Steve, and Robert as they explain why abortion is genocide on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Abortion is the textbook definition of genocide

You don't have to delve too far into the comment sections of the internet to find people who are offended by abortion being defined as a genocide. It seems that the culture’s go-to move to keep from having intelligent arguments in favor of their position is to hide behind that offense like a shield. However, when you look at the U.N. approved definition of genocide it’s hard to see abortion as anything but an act committed with the intent to destroy (in whole or in part) a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. Learn more about how the definition of genocide directly applies to abortion on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

The world’s history of genocide paved the way for abortion

Since the dawn of time, the devaluation of human life has paved the way for the relatively global acceptance of abortion. Aztecs, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Nazis, and even so-called Christians committed atrocities that left the definition of person hood up to preference instead of the Word of God. Even events as recent as American slavery were instrumental in legalizing abortion. In context, Dred Scott set a dangerous precedent that opened the door for a ruling like Roe V. Wade. This week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast will dive deep into the pages of history to find out how humanity’s past has determined the present.

Every genocide needs a scapegoat and abortion is no exception

Scapegoating is a tactic used to orchestrate every major genocide in human history. Hitler blamed the Jews for Germany’s economic decline after World War I. Pol Put used western influence as a reason to murder 25 percent of Cambodia’s population. There is always a reason even if that reason is never good enough to end a human life. What makes the genocide of abortion so unique and terrifying is that you can have any reason to end the life of an unborn child. Economic circumstances, genetic disabilities, or even the child being unwanted are all good enough reasons for places like Planned Parenthood to murder the innocent. Discover why scapegoating is just as effective today with abortion as it has been with genocides of the past on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Understanding why abortion is genocide is the key to ending it

When you look at the numbers alone, abortion is the most horrific genocide in human history. 56 million children lose their lives each year in the name of words like “pro-choice” and “human rights”. The irony of the latter is almost a laughable offense because the main platform in favor of abortion works to dehumanize unborn children with words like “fetus” and “potential life”. However, when the truth is allowed to prevail over propaganda abortion is able to be unmasked as the genocide that it is. Imagine the potential for change if the social justice-minded generation of today was to grasp that reality. That would be the end of abortion. Gain the knowledge you need to define abortion for what it really is on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

As the smell of deep-fried turkey fills the air so does the realization that Thanksgiving is only two days away. There is so much to be thankful for this year not only as a Christian but as a Pro-Life advocate as well. The Fall 2018 40 Days for Life campaign reached 415 cities and saw incredible victories in the fight for life. Join Shawn, Steve, and Robert as they discuss all the reasons why they are thankful for life and the progress made to end abortion in 2018 on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

A former Planned Parenthood manager is now a 40 Days for Life employee

Nothing breaks down walls like being able to connect with someone who has been through the same experience that you are currently navigating. This is what makes the addition of Sue Thayer to the 40 Days for Life staff so powerful. She is a former Planned Parenthood manager and will certainly be a game changer for the Pro-Life movement as 40 Days for Life employee. As the first point of contact, Sue will be able to speak to those looking to leave the abortion giant in an unprecedented way being the first Planned Parenthood employee to lead a campaign. Hear all the ways she is already making an impact on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

The reasons to be thankful for life are still coming in from the Fall 2018 campaign

From the very first day of the Fall 2018 40 Days for Life campaign, stories of children’s lives being saved have poured in. Like never before, mothers and families have been returning to vigil sites to tell volunteers about the differences made in their lives. These powerful reunions have even included volunteers getting to meet the very children that their efforts fought to save. There are so many reasons to be thankful for life this Thanksgiving because more and more incredible testimonies keep coming in long after the campaign has ended. Listen as Shawn, Steve, and Robert share even more hopeful accounts on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Women are walking out of Planned Parenthood due to terrible treatment

You would think that an integral part of convincing women to pay money for an abortion procedure would be making them feel taken care of. That sentiment could not be further from the truth for Christina in Bloomington, Indiana. Her recent experience at a local Planned Parenthood caused her to leave the clinic and choose life for her unborn child. It was clear to Christina that the staff were not concerned with her well being and even remarked to a 40 Days for Life volunteer that the whole place felt “evil”. The mask of “women’s healthcare” is beginning to slip at the nation’s leading abortion provider and on this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast you will learn exactly what that means for the Pro-Life movement.

Pro-Life statistics are at an all-time high

From the number of cities impacted by the most recent 40 Days for Life campaign to abortion facilities closing all around the world the numbers in the mission to end abortion are ever increasing in favor of life. Even as the 46th anniversary of legalized abortion approaches there is so much to be thankful for. 40 Days for Life has seen over 15,000 babies saved from death and the number of abortion workers who have left their job during a campaign just reached 186. With all of this incredible news, it is getting easier to see a day when Roe v. Wade will be overturned. Get all of the statistics coming out of the Fall 2018 campaign on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

The topic of spiritual warfare seems to be a hit or miss subject in Christian culture. While some give the Devil too much power others are content with ignoring the existence of the enemy altogether. The truth is that there is a very real spiritual battle going on. This was never more evident than during the recently concluded Fall 40 Days for Life campaign. From socialist protesters banging pots and pans to in-your-face abortion advocates dressed up as Catholic priests, this campaign had it all. Hear Shawn, Steve, and Matt break down the realities of spiritual warfare on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

In just a few short years the arguments for abortion have drastically changed

Not long ago the argument for abortion was based on a “scientific” approach. It centered around the dehumanization of the unborn and a convenience based definition of life itself. Due to the crumbling foundation of these positions, a new approach seems to have risen from the rubble. Fueled by an unprecedented level of hate, current abortion advocates are now arguing that Pro-Life views are somehow a direct attack on their identity and that they seek to deny women basic healthcare rights. How does this affect the fight for life? Find out on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Irony is killing the credibility of the abortion industry

One of the loudest cries heard from those protesting the most recent 40 Days for Life campaign was the accusation of bigotry. That somehow wanting to protect the lives of the unborn was an overtly intolerant act. Ironically, while 40 Days for Life volunteers were peacefully expressing their views the ones calling them “bigots” were seeking to silence the Pro-Life message by any means they deemed necessary. These “tolerance warriors” acted with such hate and aggression that even Planned Parenthood asked them to leave because they were creating physical and emotional barriers that prevented women who were seeking abortions from getting inside. Learn how these poignant examples of spiritual warfare are killing the abortion industry on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Recent actions of protesters reveal the evil nature of abortion

All throughout Scripture we see the Devil’s plot to end the lives of innocent children from the attempts of kings to kill the firstborn to the prophets of Baal sacrificing babies as an act of worship. Today the blood lust of ancient history masquerades itself as abortion. Typically you see this procedure supported by well-dressed politicians and scientists doing their best impression of someone who cares about women’s health. However, Pro-Abortion protesters have been letting the mask slip to reveal the truly evil nature of abortion. At numerous vigil sites they dressed up as Satan and intentionally engaged in behavior that mocks God and those who believe in Him. Discover how far some protesters will go to deter those who stand for life on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Pro-Life legacies will be the end of abortion

Amidst a vast backdrop of spiritual warfare during the most recent 40 Days for Life campaign, one image stands out. Mother after mother returning to the place where they decided to choose life to tell volunteers about the difference they made. Not only that, but these mothers came back to show volunteers this difference by bringing or showing pictures of the children who wouldn’t be alive without their efforts. It provides an incredibly important reminder of the legacies being created by those who are willing to persevere against persecution for the sake of the unborn. These children will grow up to stand where their parents stood and be a voice for life for generations to come. Listen as Shawn shares just a few of these hope-filled stories on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

As the largest 40 Days for Life campaign yet comes to a close there are more God stories to tell than could possibly be told in one podcast episode. These stories represent courage, life, and hope in a way that screams God is holding the pen. They speak of divine moments that only our Lord could orchestrate where lives are being saved and death is met with defeat. All around the world people are making the decision to choose life in the midst of vast political and spiritual opposition. Get a sneak peek at everything God has done over the last 40 days on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Courageous volunteers speak life in the midst of chaos

From Madison, Wisconsin to Munich, Germany 40 Days for Life volunteers face daily opposition from those who wish to silence the Pro-Life message. Enduring an onslaught of hate from local protesters, these incredible volunteers remain steadfast in their mission to protect the unborn and pray for an end to abortion. Their peaceful presence speaks louder than any Pro-Abortion chant and it is their perseverance that the Lord uses to write the God stories shared on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

A decision for life is a decision for legacy

Every 40 Days for Life campaign is different. Each one seems to present a different theme from abortion facilities closing to mothers making the decision to choose life. However, volunteers don’t always get to see the impact that they make. This year has been marked by story after story of people coming back to prayer vigil sites to thank volunteers for how they helped them or their loved ones make the decision to keep their child. Volunteers all over the world are getting to see the fruit of their labor and are realizing the generational legacies they have helped preserve. Not only have families been saved but a few have been started thanks to couples meeting at a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil. Hear the details of these God stories on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Money is Planned Parenthood’s number one priority

Upon deciding to choose life and walk out of an abortion facility one mother gave a 40 Days for Life volunteer the price list of services offered by Planned Parenthood. The list demonstrated that Planned Parenthood’s number one priority was not the health of women, but the health of their own wallet. Pregnancy tests showed a 6000% markup. Most pregnancy centers offer free ultrasounds, but Planned Parenthood guards them behind a hefty price point because they know that mothers who receive them are far less likely to have an abortion. Which then leads to the staggering cost of an abortion procedure that clearly displays the truth: Planned Parenthood is a business. Get all of the financial facts for abortion on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

God stories are the fuel that keeps the Pro-Life movement going

Each moment in a 40 Days for Life campaign is like a single thread in a beautifully woven tapestry. Up close, it can seem boring or unimportant. Yet when you back up and see the big picture words can’t describe the significance that each individual thread brings to the artistic story being told. This is why God stories are so important. They remind those in the fight for life that even when nothing seems to be happening that they are apart of a much bigger story. That the big moments can’t happen without the sacrifice of everything in between. Be encouraged today as you listen to these incredible campaign stories on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that abortion is ending the life of an innocent child. However, that’s exactly what Texas has leading its effort to end abortion through Pro-Life legislation. Dr. Joe Pojman is a former NASA aerospace engineer who founded and is the executive director of the Texas Alliance for Life which is a non-profit organization committed to lobbying for laws that protect the sanctity of human life. On this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast Shawn and Steve sit down with Dr. Joe to discuss the impact of Pro-Life legislation on the state of Texas and our nation as well as the legal landscape of the road to end abortion.

Dr. Joe Pojman is breaking stereotypes in the Pro-Life movement

There seems to be an invisible line dividing those who lobby for Pro-Life legislation and those who pray outside of abortion facilities and run pregnancy centers. Both sides have very different functions in the fight for life, but they both serve the same goal: to save lives and end abortion. So much so that while Dr. Joe spends most of his time on the legal side of things he also tries to make it out to a 40 Days for Life campaign any chance he gets. Hear how what’s happening at prayer vigils all across the country is inspiring those who labor to change abortion laws on this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Incredible progress for Pro-Life legislation was made even with a Pro-Abortion administration

It’s no secret that Barack Obama was one of the most Pro-Abortion presidents in American history. Despite that fact, much progress was made in the realm of Pro-Life legislation even during his presidency. The reason is that most of these laws are passed at a state level thanks to grassroots support from organizations like the Texas Alliance for Life. Listen to this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast to get an inside look at how Pro-Life lobbyists are still taking ground no matter the political climate.

Pro-Life legislation forces people to see hard truths about abortion

The place where Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry thrives the most is the dark. Pro-Life legislation is so powerful because it shines a light on the atrocities of what really happens at abortion facilities. Even the smallest steps towards progress help stir up the conversation and expose the real agenda behind abortion. Hear all the ways Pro-Life legislation and the abortion debate are opening eyes on both sides of the aisle during this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

The day is coming when Roe v. Wade will be overturned

It may be along time before it’s realized, but we are experiencing the beginning of the end of abortion. Planned Parenthood can’t keep up with efforts like the 40 Days for Life campaign because they spend most of their time and resources trying to combat Pro-Life legislation in courtrooms and capitals. We also can’t ignore that for the first time ever there are potentially five Pro-Life votes sitting on the bench of the United States Supreme Court. Dr. Joe gives his insight on the necessary legal steps to see an end to abortion during this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

What inspires people to be in a Pro-Life movie?

It can’t be an easy choice to make. Hollywood as a whole is pretty outspokenly in favor of abortion so going against the grain can put your reputation and career on the line. Despite those realities, Jared Lotz and Emma Elle Roberts are making the decision to stand for life and take part in this incredible effort to get Abby Johnson’s story out to the masses. In fact, this is Emma’s FOURTH Pro-Life film! On this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast find out what motivates Jared and Emma to work on projects like UnPlanned and bring Pro-Life values to the mainstream.

The set of UnPlanned is unlike any other in Hollywood

It’s safe to assume that most people show up at work so that they can get a paycheck. The actors and production crews of Hollywood are no different. This is what makes the people involved in making UnPlanned so special! Of course, no one is coming to work for free, but their motivations go so much deeper than their bank accounts. For them, UnPlanned is a mission to help end abortion by faithfully telling the life story of Abby Johnson. Hear Jared Lotz and Emma Elle Roberts talk about what it’s like to work on a movie with people unified by one purpose on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

The cast and crew of UnPlanned hope the film has a major cultural impact

Most films aspire to do nothing more than tell an entertaining story. UnPlanned is not your average movie. The cast and crew have set out to make a movie that not only brings awareness to the abortion issue but also changes the heart of the culture on the sanctity of human life. Hear Jared and Emma share on what they hope the UnPlanned movie accomplishes and how you can make that dream a reality on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Pro-Abortion protesters are their own worst enemy

If the goal of the protesters who recently showed up to the 40 Days for Life prayer vigils in Upstate New York was to help women get abortions they may want to rethink their tactics. The aggressive and vulgar manner in which they try to communicate their message is not only a proven repellent for women attempting to receive abortions but is also a good press magnet for 40 Days for Life. The juxtaposition of vicious protestors opposing peaceful prayer volunteers speaks louder volumes than hateful chants ever could over pleas for the lives of the unborn. Learn how Pro-Life volunteers stood their ground against a swarm of abortion advocates on this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Volunteer presence alone increases the abortion no-show rate

Imagine being a young pregnant woman who has been told that she is alone and that the only option for survival is to kill the child growing inside of her. This may seem foreign to you, but that is the experience of so many women who schedule appointments to receive abortions. Organizations like Planned Parenthood paint a picture so hopeless that women are convinced aborting their babies is not only the necessary choice but also the morally right one. Having 40 Days for Life volunteers present at these centers gives women another option. It gives them hope. Learn all the ways volunteers help women make the right choice on this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

The current 40 Days for Life campaign has already seen 100 babies saved

Starting from the very first day of this 40 Days for Life campaign there have been incredible results in the fight to save the unborn. All around the world the reports are pouring in that women are choosing life and deciding to bring their precious children into the world. Champaign, Illinois even saw a women’s health facility decide to stop performing abortion services altogether. God is showing up in a big way as people continue to show up and intercede for the end of abortion. Hear powerful testimonies of hearts changed and lives saved on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

The fight for life continues

While there are so many victories to celebrate at the halfway point of this 40 Days for Life campaign the fight for life is far from over. Many vigil sites are just now seeing the fruit of their labors after years of faithful prayer. The reality is that volunteers are there to stand with the babies losing their lives just as much as they are there to try and prevent it from happening in the first place. This is why a dedication to praying and fasting for the end of this atrocity is so crucial. Find out how you can be a part of the beginning of the end of abortion on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast.

Get ready to see yourself on the big screen in Spring 2019! Based on the best-selling book, UnPlanned is the story of a former Planned Parenthood director turned Pro-Life advocate named Abby Johnson. Witness how Abby’s experience in helping with an abortion procedure led her to walk out of her job and walk into the office of 40 Days for Life president, Shawn Carney. On this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast hear the journey of how this movie became a reality in the hands of God’s Not Dead writers Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon.

Abby Johnson’s story is your story too

The reality is there would be no UnPlanned movie without the thousands of 40 Days for Life volunteers who are on the front lines of the fight against abortion. The tireless hours spent praying for the lives of the unborn and counseling pregnant mothers on the sidewalks of abortion clinics is what helped lead Abby to quit her job in the first place. Find out how your efforts to end abortion inspired Chuck and Cary to make the UnPlanned movie on this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

Chuck and Cary aren’t just making a movie, they are a part of the movement

It’s one thing to make a movie because you want to tell a story. It’s an entirely different thing to tell a story because you passionately believe in its message. That is exactly why Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon have taken on the UnPlanned movie as their next project. Writing, producing, and directing a movie about abortion is no easy task, but these regular attendees of the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil in San Fernando Valley, California are not shying away from this life or death issue. Follow Chuck and Cary’s personal journey in bringing the UnPlanned movie to life on this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

There is no better time to make a Pro-Life movie

On the heels of a scandalous couple of years for Planned Parenthood and the confirmation of Justice Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court there has never been a better time to take the fight against abortion to the big screen. UnPlanned will be the first major motion picture to target the abortion factory that is Planned Parenthood by name and Chuck and Cary hope that the film will be a “polished missile” that creates a giant hole in their foundation. Learn how timing and obedience is everything when you’re making films to impact the culture on this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

YOU are the key to success for the UnPlanned movie

Just like with The Passion of the Christ or God’s Not Dead grassroots support will be the biggest means of getting the message of UnPlanned to the masses. Politically motivated movie studios and critics generally seek to stifle the visibility of faith-based films by ignoring them altogether. However, the biases of Hollywood can be overcome by going directly to the theaters whose only motivation is to fill seats and sell popcorn. In the midst of 40 Days for Life’s largest fall campaign ever and the kangaroo court that is the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, Planned Parenthood has made a somewhat surprising move in selecting Dr.Leana Wen as their new CEO. Who is this woman and what does she mean for the future of Planned Parenthood? Find out the answers to those questions and take an in-depth look at the state of abortion politics on this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

Who would want to be responsible for the deaths of 300,000 children per year?

The answer is Dr. Leana Wen. The former emergency room doctor and Baltimore Health Commissioner will fill the shoes of Cecile Richards as Planned Parenthood CEO starting November 12th. Dr. Wen is a Chinese-born American doctor who believes abortion is a fundamental human right. In this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast find out everything you need to know about the next president of Planned Parenthood.

There has never been a worse time in history to take over Planned Parenthood

It’s no secret that the organization has suffered some serious blows in the past few years. Between multiple scandals and the very real risk of defunding the abortion giant is probably the most vulnerable it has ever been. This is why the departure of fundraising juggernaut Cecile Richards and the appointment of Dr. Leana Wen as Planned Parenthood’s new CEO is a bit surprising. Could there be more to this story? Find out in the latest episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

Don’t believe the charade that abortion is healthcare

If we understand health care as the medicines and practices that restore health to the body then abortion is anything but. However, that is exactly what Planned Parenthood wants you to believe by appointing its first physician as CEO in nearly five decades. Dr. Leana Wen is a calculated move to reinforce the idea that Planned Parenthood is a women’s health organization. Don’t get fooled by this and other myths about America’s leading abortion provider by listening to this week’s episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

The timing of Planned Parenthood’s leadership change seems like more than a coincidence

With midterm elections taking place on November 6th and Dr. Leana Wen taking the reins on November 12th, it would appear that Planned Parenthood is positioning themselves to control the narrative no matter what the political outcome is. This of course is all backlit by the vicious Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Brett Kavanaugh taking place in our nation's capital. Learn how you can sift through the politics and support the pro-life movement on this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

On the eve of the 40 Days for Life Campaign kickoff, take an in-depth look at the other part of prayer. Fasting is a biblical and essential part of seeking God. This is especially true in regards to praying for the lives of the unborn. On this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast Shawn, Steve, and Robert discuss the why’s and how’s of spiritual fasting so that you can be ready for the upcoming campaign.

Trade physical hunger for a spiritual one

It’s no secret that American culture is one of excess. Our plates tower ever higher with the richest and fattiest of foods while our appetite for self-control dwindles. What better way is there to go against the grain and offer God a sacrifice of praise than spiritual fasting? However, food isn’t the only way we can engage in a fast. Find out how you can recover your hunger for God and experience immense spiritual growth on this episode of the podcast.

Perfectionism is the enemy of commitment

Part of the reason why fasting is so difficult for some people is that they bite off more than they can chew. It’s as if we miss some imaginary mark by being unable to go days on end without food. The reality is that by setting unrealistic goals in spiritual fasting we are only making ourselves miserable and missing the point entirely. This episode will show you how to use fasting as a reminder to pray for the unborn through small sacrifices and how not to miss the purpose of fasting in the process.

Jesus is the closest when our flesh is the farthest

Often times it can be difficult to see self-denial as a good thing. Our culture trains us to reject anything that doesn’t make us feel good. In fact, we spend our whole lives trying to live comfortably. Yet pursuing Jesus calls us to a certain level of discomfort. Fasting certainly confirms that statement. Learn how living a life that is willing to give up physical comforts for a season can reap a lifetime of spiritual benefits on this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast.

The Top 10 Ways Anyone Can Fast for 40 Days

  1. Eating one meal a day
  2. Decreasing food consumption at every meal
  3. Certain types of food (sweets, meats, snacks, etc.)
  4. Coffee/Soda
  5. Alcohol
  6. Waking up an hour early for prayer
  7. Radio/Music
  8. TV/Internet/Social Media
  9. Sleeping without a pillow
  10. Cold showers

Many people would say that one of the greatest struggles in their Christian walk is learning how to hear the voice of God. Our world moves at such a deafening pace that slowing down enough to hear what the Lord is saying seems like an impossible task. However on this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast you will learn how our guest Father Drew Olson’s decision to slow down and pray at a 40 Days for Life vigil led to a life-long call to ministry and a passion for the pro-life movement. Father Drew also has some incredible insights into the power of prayer and how you can engage God right where you’re at.

Sometimes prayer is more about listening than praying

Asking God for the things we need is an important part of our relationship with Him. However, sometimes the most profound moments of provision don’t happen in the asking but rather in the silence. In this episode Father Drew discusses the importance of silence as a spiritual discipline and why it is an essential step in learning how to hear the voice of God. Find out how you can drown out distractions and practically apply silence to your prayer life.

You would be hard pressed to find a more seemingly hopeless place to pray than an abortion clinic

Praying in the face of such overwhelming darkness can be a daunting task for anyone. It is the goal of the enemy to use our present circumstance to discourage our future victory. It’s easy to feel hopeless when you can’t see fruit, but God has a way of bringing fruitfulness to the most desperate of situations. Learn how Father Drew’s time at 40 Days for Life prayer vigil changed his life forever and showed him how to hear the voice of God even when it’s hard to know if He is there at all.

You can do almost anything for 40 days, but what draws people to Day 41?

Prayer is something that is more caught than it is taught. There is something contagious about continually committing yourself to pursue God in prayer. Once it gets inside you prayer has a way of becoming more of who you are than what you do largely because you begin learning how to hear the voice of God through it. The challenge lies in where to start. In this episode Father Drew discusses how life change is a natural byproduct of making prayer a central part of your faith walk. He goes on to discuss several practical tips on how you can make that a reality in your own life.

What is the connection between prayer and saving lives?

If prayer is an invitation to amplify God’s voice in our own lives, then praying for others is a way to amplify His voice in theirs. Whether it’s praying at two o'clock in the morning during a 40 Days for Life vigil or sidewalk counseling a young mother considering abortion, our prayers matter. They have an impact. Listen to Father Drew’s take on how to hear the voice of God by praying for others. This can not only change your life but it may save the life of another.

If you were to consider who the worst serial killer in American history is, the name of the person who deserves the title is not one you've likely heard on the evening news. That’s because the media and the authorities who should have ensured this man’s atrocities were never possible, turned a blind eye to his actions. On this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast you’ll hear the incredible true story of Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist who not only performed late-term abortions but even killed babies after they were entirely out of the womb and struggling for life. Our guest on this episode of the 40 Days for Life podcast is filmmaker and writer Ann McElhinney.

Jurors were more shocked at what is already legal than by the atrocities Gosnell committed

In order to hear about the horrific things Kermit Gosnell was allowed to do in his Philadelphia abortion clinic, there’s no better way to learn about it than to go see the upcoming movie, “Gosnell.” But an important thing to note about the true story is that those who served on the jury were more horrified by the actions allowed under current abortion law than they were with what convicted murderer, Kermit Gosnell did. On this episode Ann McElhinney describes the reaction of those who served on the jury when they became aware of the normal practices of those who work in the abortion industry, so be sure you listen.

How did Kermit Gosnell do what he did in light of the regulations on the abortion industry?

The abortion industry is tightly regulated. How is it possible that the worst serial killer in American history could do what he did under the guise of performing legal abortions? After investigating and understanding the ins and outs of what really happened, filmmaker Ann McElhinney believes that those in places of authority who are charged with inspecting and verifying the cleanliness and practices of those practicing abortions are guilty of dereliction of duty and should be in prison for what they failed to do in the case of Kermit Gosnell. Hear Ann describe the terrible consequences of the “look the other way” practices of the Department of Health officials in Philadelphia on this episode.

When you hear people talking about “the good of the children,” watch out!

Ann McElhinney has heard pro-choice advocates dress up their comments in the most flowery language possible to throw those outside the abortion industry off the track of what is really going on in abortion clinics. She says that anytime she hears a pro-choice person talking about “the good of the children,” she immediately feels uneasy. That’s because in her experience it’s one of the many phrases used to cloak practices that are not in any way in the interest of children or their mothers. Find out why Ann is suspicious of such talk and hear what she’s seen that makes her so skeptical of good-sounding language on this episode.

“Gosnell” is a movie that memorializes the lives of abortion victims in a powerful way

When you first hear that Ann’s new movie, “Gosnell” is about the trial of the worst serial killer in American history, you may feel that it’s a movie you won’t want to go see. But you’ll be happily surprised at the hopeful conclusion of the movie and the powerful way it tells how a few brave people brought about incredible good from a horrific chain of events. The movie is crafted in a way that is not sappy or unrealistic, the acting is excellent, and the impact of the victim’s stories is highlighted in a way that truly changes hearts. Go see “Gosnell” when it comes out in October of 2018, and get the book as well.

There are many legitimate reasons why people decide not to participate in a 40 Days For Life prayer vigil. On this episode, you’ll hear the guys talk about a number of them. But this episode is not about the good reasons for not coming to a prayer vigil, it’s about the lame ones. Listen in as Shawn, Steve, and Robert highlight and bust the top 5 reasons people give for not participating in a 40 Days For Life prayer vigil. You just might hear YOUR excuse among them.

“I’m busy” can’t excuse you from a 24-hour prayer vigil

The 40 Days For Life campaign in your community is intentionally designed to be easy for anyone to participate in, no matter how busy your schedule is. The “I’m busy” excuse just won’t cut it. In this episode, you’ll hear why anyone can find one hour of their day - no matter how busy it is - to attend and participate at a local 40 Days For Life prayer vigil. You’ll also hear how many people have done so and have seen God save lives, free abortion workers from their bondage to the paycheck the abortion providers sign, and more.

Safety is a concern that is taken seriously at 40 Days For Life prayer vigils

Anytime you see footage on the evening news of a protest or demonstration, you usually see the clips of the gatherings that became violent. That’s why the 40 Days For Life campaign is not designed around the typical “protest” approach. Instead, the organizers are leading prayer vigils - intentionally peaceful gatherings designed to ask the Prince of Peace, Jesus to bring His peace and healing into the lives of everyone at the location - mothers, children, doctors, workers - anyone. And on top of that, the 40 Days For Life leaders are trained in the very latest safety protocols. Learn why you don’t have to be concerned about safety at a 40 Days For Life prayer vigil, on this episode.

Denominational issues shouldn’t deter you from coming to a prayer vigil

The denominational divisions that have happened historically in the church have oftentimes happened for a good reason. But it’s a shame when Christians allow those divisions to keep them divided and they refuse to join together for greater purposes. Those who say that a 40 Days For Life vigil is too ____________ (fill in with your denomination of choice) simply don’t know the facts. The 40 Days For Life movement is the largest ecumenical movement in the nation, bringing together Protestants, Catholics, Jews, and more for the sake of saving unborn lives. Find out why denominations are the least important thing about a 40 Days For Life campaign, on this episode.

A 40 Days For Life Prayer vigil is NOT confrontational

The perceptions people have of what happens at a 40 Days For Life campaign are often inaccurate and untrue. For example, people sometimes have the idea that those participating in a 40 Days For Life prayer vigil are shouting at the women entering abortion facilities, or are standing in their way to prevent them from entering. Neither of those perceptions is true. The gatherings are peaceful and prayerful, asking Jesus to do a great work in the lives of the women, children, and workers at the facility - and the people who are praying at the vigil are available to help, not to harm. Learn why 40 Days For Life prayer vigils are not confrontational, on this episode.

Many in today’s younger generation - teens and college students - are calling THEMSELVES the Pro-life Generation. That’s because more and more teens and university students are becoming aware of the devastating horror of abortion and are taking action to make their lives count by saving the lives of the unborn. In this episode of The 40 Days For Life Podcast you will hear many stories of how people as young as middle school and high school students are making a difference, saving lives, and influencing entire communities to the point that abortion clinics are shutting their doors. This episode is packed with inspiring stories, so be sure you listen.

A 40 Days For Life Campaign Led By An 18-Year-Old

At times it can be hard to find willing volunteers who will stand up to the abuse and persecution that may come from organizing and leading a 40 Day For Life campaign in a local community. That’s what makes one example on today's podcast so extraordinary. An 18- year old, not even old enough to drive has taken up the mantle of leadership in Memphis, TN, leading that community’s 40 Days For Life campaign with incredible effectiveness. Listen to hear how this one teen led a group of amazing volunteers in an effort that successfully shut down the local Planned Parenthood clinic through consistent, loving, peaceful demonstration outside its doors.

The Pro-life Generation Is Ready To Do Hard Things - And Is Making A Difference

Many of the members of this self-proclaimed “pro-life generation” have cited a book, “Do Hard Things” as one of the reasons they’ve decided to step into the battle to save unborn lives. They realized something that is true for all of us - we MUST step into the gap to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. It will require difficulty and strain. It will require us to get out of our comfort zones. But the fulfillment that comes from saving lives is one of the most rewarding things any human being can experience. Listen to this episode to learn how teens and college students are making an incredible difference in the lives of expectant mothers and their unborn children.

A Pro-Life Teen Whose Mother Was Encouraged To Abort Her

Now and then we get to hear stories that amaze and inspire all at the same time. On this episode, we hear of a woman who was told by her doctor that the child in her womb would surely die because her amniotic fluid was leaking. The recommended course of action: an abortion. But this brave pro-life mother told her doctor that as long as there was a heartbeat, there was still hope. Today, the baby she chose to carry is the 19-year old leader of her local 40 Days For Life campaign, a living reminder of the lives that are being saved by this crucial work. Learn how you can be a part of making a difference that is just as significant, on this episode.

The Pro-Life Generation Is Making A Difference Worldwide

Many countries across the globe have laws on the books that make abortion illegal. But that doesn’t mean unborn lives are safe in those countries. In Nigeria, abortion is rampant, especially among the teen population of that 3rd world country, even though it is illegal to perform an abortion. Teens and young adults in Nigeria are rising up, reaching out to their peers and pointing them toward a better way. Listen to this episode to learn how teens in Nigeria are joining the 40 Days For Life cause to save the lives of unborn children in their mother country.

One of the common tactics of those on the Pro-Choice side of the abortion debate is to insist that abortion is an issue of healthcare for women. Statistics are often quoted in support of the contention. Case-studies are cited. But the truth is it’s all a colossal hoax - abortion does NOT improve the health of women in any way. On this episode, the 40 Days For Life team discusses the fake facts behind the abortion industry’s claim that abortion is a healthcare issue and explains why the exact opposite is almost always the case. If you’d like to know how to respond to abortion proponents when they appeal to these false statistics, this episode will be very helpful.

FACT: Abortion is not healthcare for women

It sounds reasonable on the surface to say that abortion is an issue relating to women’s healthcare. Afterall, abortions are a medical procedure performed on a woman’s body. But that’s the only similarity to beneficial healthcare practices that exists. Healthcare by definition is to care for and promote the normal state of health in a living organism. Abortion is the opposite - it disrupts the health of the baby in question and often puts the mother’s life at greater risk. Find out why abortion is not healthcare and how you can respond when someone insists that it is, on this episode.

The statistics used by abortion proponents are flat out lies

One of the most influential and dominant forces in the Pro-Choice movement at its inception was Dr. Bernard Nathanson. He served as the Director of the Center for Reproductive and Sexual Health (a pro-abortion facility) during the early 70s. But Dr. Nathanson became increasingly uncomfortable with his role in the Pro-Choice movement - and as a result, began to tell the truth. In his book, “Aborting America” he confesses that most of the statistics cited by the Pro-Choice movement in support of abortion were entirely fabricated. Yet, those fake statistics are still cited by abortion proponents to this day. You can learn the truth that will set many women and their babies free from the deceit of the abortion industry, on this episode of 40 Days For Life.

Mental health issues for women increase when abortion is legal

It’s often argued by abortion advocates that the trauma of an unwanted pregnancy can cause extreme mental health issues for women who are not allowed to secure an abortion. But the facts show a different reality altogether. Research shows that even more women tend to have mental health problems relating to a legally procured abortion than do when abortion is illegal. This is one example of how the truth is out there, in spite of the lies abortion advocates continue to repeat. Our hope is that with enough exposure and education, the American public will realize that the abortion industry has been lying for decades and stop the horrendous practice of abortion for good.

Government regulations don’t help to improve conditions when abortion is legal

A powerful scare tactic the abortion industry uses is to say that “back alley” abortions cause a great deal of physical harm to women. While there's no doubt about the truth of that statement on its surface, it's used to say that if abortion is legal, the risk of such illegal abortions will be mitigated and women’s lives will be saved. The facts tell a different story. It’s been made very clear that government regulations that allow for abortion do not improve the quality of care women receive in abortion facilities or decrease risks to women’s health. It’s simply not true. Find out how to answer those who continue to spew untrue stats in favor of abortion, on this episode.

Abortion is an international issue, a crisis that touches cultures and people groups all over the globe. This episode features the efforts being made to fight abortion in Colombia, South America. In this episode, Robert Colquhoun and Katharine O’Brien speak with Pamela Delgado, a 40 Days For Life volunteer in Bogota who has spearheaded the efforts to fight the prolific and devastating effects of abortion in Colombia.

Becoming Aware of the Spectre of Abortion in Colombia

It was 2015 when Katharine O’Brien first visited Bogota, Colombia on a mission trip. She loved the people, the culture, and the beauty she encountered. One thing she didn’t expect to see was the pervasive influence of abortion in the capital city. One neighborhood in particular, was littered with over 70 abortion clinics, which broke her heart. She knew something had to be done. In this conversation, you’ll hear how 40 Days For Life campaigns are now active all over the city and how the local community is being mobilized.

Organizing Vigils and Creating Awareness In the Community

Colombian 40 Days For Life Director, Pamela Delgado points out how the majority of people in the country of Colombia are Catholic, which makes it all the more surprising that abortion in Colombia is so prevalent. Before she became aware of the widespread problem of abortion in her country she thought the people would be pro-life. But much to her surprise, many of the women in the capital city of Bogota were victims of the abortion industry already - and the abortion proponents were very active in seducing college-age women into their facilities. God’s Spirit began to stir her to prayer and then to action as she became the first 40 Days For Life Director for Colombia.

The Opposition of Pro-Abortion Forces in Colombia is Aggressive and Real

In this conversation, Pamela describes how feminist and pro-abortion groups have stood against the 40 Days For Life efforts she’s been leading. The outlandish and aggressive tactics they’ve employed show how desperate they are to hold on to the financial lifeline abortion is for them. In this conversation, Pamela describes the types of things pro-abortion supporters have done to come against the vigils she leads and how God has overcome every attempt to thwart their efforts. It’s an encouraging story you won’t want to miss. Listen now!

Baby Showers Express Support and Hope For Mothers Considering Abortion

The 40 Days For Life team in Bogota has found that many of the women who choose to terminate their pregnancies do so because they feel alone and without support. To combat those feelings and to demonstrate that these young mothers will not be alone, the team has hosted many baby showers for special moms who choose not to end their pregnancies. These baby showers show that there is a better alternative than abortion and celebrate the miracle of life that is happening in the wombs of these precious young women. Pamela Delgado explains the impact the baby showers are having in more detail, on this episode.

In the fight to end abortion many innovative approaches are being taken - but what’s happened in Green Bay, Wisconsin is one of the most powerful yet. Jim Ball has been actively leading groups of men and women in 24/7 vigils outside abortion facilities to pray and provide a hopeful presence in the darkness of the abortion culture. In this conversation, Jim shares stories and stats about how these 24-hour 40 DFL campaigns are impacting those involved and the communities they serve.

What’s the point of being at an abortion facility when it’s closed at night?

Jim Ball leads a group of men in Green Bay, Wisconsin who call themselves “Silent No More.” Their name comes from the belief that men have been silent about abortion for far too long and that as part of their God-given role as protectors of women, men need to rise up to see it done. It’s this group of men who take the night shifts in the Green Bay 40DFL 24-hour vigils. No matter the weather or obstacles these men spend their time praying and demonstrating solidarity against the abortion industry. In this conversation, Jim shares the impact the 24/7 team in Green Bay has had. It’s super encouraging so don’t miss it.

24/7 vigils put pressure on those in charge of abortion facilities

The sacrifice and commitment required to pull off a 24/7 vigil for a period of 40 days is part of what motivates those in charge of abortion facilities to leave communities. The vigils draw public attention to the issue and enable the hidden side of what happens inside the facilities to be dragged into the light for everyone to see. It’s that kind of exposure that causes those running abortion facilities to cave to the pressure over time. Green Bay’s abortion industry has been effectively shut down by this kind of pressure and Jim Ball says he’s been told that the 24/7 vigils played a huge part in that happening. You can hear the encouraging stories of what has happened in Green Bay and learn how you can take steps to see the same things happen in your community, on this episode.

Weather is not allowed to be an obstacle to ending abortion

There are few places in the world with winters harsher than Green Bay, Wisconsin. Can you imagine the dedication and sacrifice required to walk a vigil at 3 AM - in Green Bay - in a blizzard? That’s the experience many of the men involved in the Green Bay 40DFL campaign have had and not one of them regrets it. Though the conditions are harsh and the nights can be long, they are committed to the end of abortion - and have effectively seen it come about in Green Bay, in part through their sacrifice. Listen to hear how 24/7 vigils accomplished the end of abortion in Green Bay, on this episode.

It’s in sacrifice that true joy is found

Jim Ball notes that there is a lot of talk in our society about suffering - but he feels there should also be a light shining on the power of sacrifice. It’s in sacrificing for the sake of others that we find joy - not necessarily in a “feel good” way while we are making the sacrifice, but from the satisfaction we feel when we see the blessing our sacrifice has been in the lives of others. That’s when the sacrifice is seen for what it is - a loving act that has brought life and joy to another human being. Jim explains how the 24/7 vigils in the Green Bay 40DFL campaign have provided that kind of joy for its participants, on this episode.

The 40 Days For Life team is always encouraged when we are able to hear Pro-Life stories from everyday people who have taken the huge step of faith and courage to get involved in the fight to stop abortion. This episode recounts some of the stories heard at the recent Leader’s Symposium in Arizona. You’ll be encouraged too, by the amazing things God has done through the work of common people who were willing to step out and make a difference.

Pro-Life Stories Don’t Happen Because Of Courageous People

One of the speakers at our recent Leadership Symposium was Sue Thayer, a woman who formerly managed a Planned Parenthood abortion facility. In delivering her speech, the first line out of her mouth was something to this effect: “People often say I’m courageous, but I’m not.” It may sound like false humility but we can assure you, Sue is one of the most genuine and humble people working in the Pro-Life movement. As she shared her story in a very relatable way, it was easy to see how anyone can get involved and make a massive difference in bringing about the end of abortion in their community.

Stories of Abortion Opposition Came From All Corners of the Globe

One of the most beautiful things experienced at the Arizona Leadership Symposium was the eclectic nature of the people who gathered. It seemed there were people of any race you could imagine, young and old, experienced and inexperienced, all gathered for one reason - to learn how they could be more effective in their part of the battle to end abortion. It was encouraging to watch as relationships were formed and encouragement was doled out in ample supply among the participants. It was a great demonstration of the power of stories and the example of faith.

It’s Not Just The 40DFL Leadership That Does The Equipping

Among the bright spots at the Leadership Symposium were the many stories we heard from the most unassuming people. Many told of their participation in 40DFL campaigns and the dramatic difference they’ve seen happen as a result. Friends, it’s happening, abortion is coming to an end one faithful action at a time. Whether its people praying in front of abortion facilities or humble servants organizing full-fledged campaigns, momentum is growing. Listen to this episode to hear what people just like you are doing to end abortion in their communities.

There’s Always Time For a Bit of Fun At Our Leadership Symposiums

After this year’s Symposium, Steve and Robert stayed after for a bit and decided to take in a Diamondback Baseball Game. For Steve, it was a great opportunity to show his stuff on national TV as a home run ball came his way. For Robert, it was an interesting and unusual cultural experience (he’s from the UK). In this episode we give Steve a hard time about his nationally televised flub, talk about the differences between baseball and cricket, and pray for the end of abortion - at least in part - so that we’ll all have time to do more fun stuff like Steve and Robert did. It’s all on this episode.

A Pro-Life Supreme Court Nominee - And Why It’s Not Enough

Recently, President Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh as his top pick for the vacant Supreme Court seat. In this conversation, Shawn, Steve, and Robert discuss why it’s important to keep our focus on ending abortion with the same sense of urgency we’ve maintained all along, so be sure you listen.

Urgency Keeps Us Going: Women Will Have Abortions Today

Yes, it’s good news when the Pro-Life movement gets another win. But we cannot let up in the fight. Why? Because women are having abortions every day. The lives of unborn babies are at stake every day. We can’t rest on our victories or think we’ve won just because of a few of the battles have gone in our favor. The war is not over, so we must press on. In this episode, you’ll hear a handful of stories of the life-changing impact 40DFL participants have had on women as they enter abortion centers, and how some of those women are returning to the centers to take their own stand against abortion. It’s an inspiring episode you won’t want to miss.

This is the news we’ve all be waiting for! Judge, Brett Kavanaugh has been announced as President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee. On this episode of the 40 Days for Life Podcast, you’ll hear from Shawn Carney, Steve Karlen, and Matt Britton. In their conversation, the guys go over some background information on Brett Kavanaugh, what concerns the pro-life community should have about his nomination, why the Supreme Court should remain non-partisan, how the abortion industry is responding to Mr. Kavanaugh’s nomination, and much more! This is an exciting time to be part of the pro-life movement, don’t forget to use the best tool you have available, prayer!

Who is Brett Kavanaugh?

Go on and admit it, you were waiting with baited breath to see who President Trump would select as his SCOTUS nominee, weren’t you? Of course, you were! This was an important decision that many in the pro-life community had been anticipating. Now we have it, the President has nominated, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Who is he? Mr. Kavanaugh is a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He previously served as White House Staff Secretary during the presidency of George W. Bush. Mr. Kavanaugh is a strong family man, married with two daughters. He is also a very active member of his faith community (Catholic) and takes time out of his busy schedule to serve the homeless.

Are there any concerns about Judge Kavanaugh from the pro-life community?

Let’s face it, when it comes to Supreme Court nominees, the pro-life community has had more than ample reasons for caution and concern. When a new nominee like Judge Kavanaugh is presented, it’s wise to take the time and consider if there are any concerns in their record or body of work. For all intents and purposes, there is nothing to report when it comes to Mr. Kavanaugh’s record, in fact, there is plenty to get excited about! Looking at his record on abortion, free speech, and religious liberty it seems like the pro-life community is getting quite the upgrade from Justice Kennedy! Rest assured, Judge Kavanaugh seems to be a perfect nominee that’ll go to work fulfilling President Trump’s promise to appoint pro-life justices to the highest court in the land.

Good news, the pro-abortion crowd HATES Judge Kavanaugh.

As nice as it would be to see a Supreme Court nominee of Judge Kavanaugh’s caliber warmly accepted by all of our nation's leaders, it’s helpful to remember that there is a reason why he’s facing early opposition. It doesn’t take much research to find that Mr. Kavanaugh is almost universally opposed by Democrats and anyone who calls themselves “Pro-choice.” Just because he’s facing opposition from the other side doesn’t mean he should automatically get a pass when it comes to criticism and critique from the pro-life community but it is a good sign!

While it’s not a slam dunk, Judge Kavanaugh’s chances are good.

As the initial excitement over Judge Kavanaugh winds down, it’s a good time to examine and consider his chances when it comes to confirmation. Just a quick reminder, when it comes to filling a Supreme Court vacancy, it’s the President’s responsibility to nominate a candidate and it’s the United States Senate’s job to approve or reject that nominee by a simple majority vote. While it’s no slam dunk, the way things look to be playing out in the U.S. Senate seems to indicate that Mr. Kavanaugh will make it through the confirmation process to be seated as the next Supreme Court Justice. Now is not the time to celebrate! If you live in a swing state, make sure to contact your representative in the U.S. Senate and press them to support Judge Kavanaugh!

Why does abortion illicit such strong reactions from both sides of the aisle that other topics like tax reform fail to conjure up? It all comes down the heart of the matter, life. Abortion draws so much fervor and debate because at the center of the issue is the value and worth of human life. This is also where pro-life stories come into play as well. Stories shared from women who’ve had abortions and doctors who’ve performed them only to reach the other side of their decisions full of regret and pain have an ability to connect with people in ways that other politicized issues can’t. Join Shawn, Steve, and Robert on this episode of 40 Days for Life as they expand on this important discussion, you don’t want to miss it!
